BareMinerals Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer

I decided to give this primer a try as I do love most BareMinerals products. It comes in

 Original, Brightening, Neutralizing, and Oil-Control.

The one I purchased is the Neutralizing. It has a yellow tint meant to neutralize any

discolorations.
This is what is stated on the website about this primer:

Create a silky, smooth canvas for a flawless foundation application with Prime Time Neutralizing Foundation Primer. With its color-correcting yellow base and light-reflective pigments, this innovative foundation primer immediately neutralizes the appearance of discoloration, uneven skin tone and redness for brighter, younger-looking skin. Our mineral-infused formula glides on seamlessly, combating flaky dryness, rough patches and uneven skin texture.

I haven't tried many primers because I don't really see the need to add extra liquid to my face when its already an oil slick.

They didn't have the Oil Control formula at the time so I decided to try this one. I have to say I was quite surprised at how much longer my makeup lasted while using this. Although I did need to blot throughout the day as usual, the stay power of my makeup was great! I can usually see my discolouration and blemishes by the afternoon, but my skin looked flawless until I was ready to take my makeup off.

I would definitely like to try the Oil Control formula to see if it makes any difference.

This is a thumbs up primer! Have any of you tried the other formulas?

Clinique Stay Matte Liquid Foundation

Hey girls!

Here is my review on Clinique's Stay Matte Makeup
I quite like Clinique as a brand and I have previously used their Pore Refining and Even Better foundation and I liked both. I have super oily acne prone skin so I was excited when a mattifying foundation came out.

I only have a sample of this foundation. I had to go through three samples of shades to find the right one since I've tanned over the summer and went up to a few shades to Sand #19. I was previously using Vanilla #14 in the Pore Refining formula. In MAC I wear NC 35-40 just for reference.

This is a buildable foundation with medium coverage. It goes on really smooth and blends well.

The Clinique line has a great selection of colour for Indian skin tones as well, and as I can't wear MAC makeup, they are my go to for foundation.

I noticed the staying power was much better than the Even Better (which left a dewy finish) and also the Pore Refining formulas. With a primer it lasted all day with minimal touch ups required.

I would definitely repurchase this product as I was quite satisfied with the over all effect. It isn't a super mattifying foundation for oily skin. If you have a good oil control lotion or primer it would work great with this. But if you have normal to combination skin this would be perfect for you!

Neostrata Acne Care Glycolic Acid Line

So let me give you a background of my problems. Skin problems I mean the others will take up too much of your time. I have oily acne-prone skin. Always have and I guess I always will. I've struggled with acne since I hit my teens. I've tried all different types of medications: drugstore, doctor prescribed, and everything in between.

I didn't hit clear skin until I went on Accutane for the second time. Now I have much clearer skin. Nothing close to perfect. But manageable.

So I decided to give NeoStrata's Acne Care line a try.

I am currently using the Level 1 toning solution and the clarifying lotion:

Now they claim that the clarifying lotion is superior to benzoyl peroxide so lets see how true their claims really are.

With the 8% Glycolic Acid in the toner, its meant to reveal clearer skin and help resurface scarring.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for theses two so lets see how it pans out..

Have any of you tried these and had good/bad results? Let me know!!

Update: Toning Solution Level 1 has been helping control my oil (to an extent) but I am looking forward to moving up to level two.

Clarifying lotion gave me a really bad reaction! Broke out into a rash and cystic pimples so I returned it after one use!

My intro..

So my name is Natasha. And I am obsessed with all things beauty.

There is my confession.

I have an obsession for makeup, beauty, and everything in between.

I hope that anyone who lands on this page enjoys the read!

Happy obsessing everyone :)

God bless.
